Mystical Weather

The light of the setting sun was captured within each and every crystal drop that fell from the pastel blue heavens above. Even with the occasional off-white cloud in the sky, the sun’s light prevailed and each individual droplet shone pure white. A gentle hiss, barely audible, filled the air as the drops kissed the warm earth below. Liquid diamonds adorned my window pane where some had been intercepted on their journey, the light being refracted and fragile rainbows of light being cast into my bedroom. The AstroTurf seemed to shimmer a mixture of emerald and silver, as did the leaves on every tree. Even the dark tarmac and the cold metal seemed to come to life for a brief moment in time. A freshness filled my lungs as I breathed in the scent of the outside world. It was almost like something out of a fantasy story, as if any second now a small blue fairy my skim across my vision, or I might catch a glimpse of a brilliant white unicorn within the shelter of the trees.

We really do live in such a wonderful world.
