Soooooo... I'm still alive (vaguely???)
Jeez, my last Journal entry was Feb 2017? Seriously???
Anyway, I hope you're all doing well! Personally things are going pretty well for me atm. I have a full-time job now and a driving license, so I'm well on my way to getting myself my first car (nearly there!) Hopefully then I'll get out a bit more and talk to actual people. Village life, especially after the rollercoaster of uni and even with a great team at work, can be really lonely at times! Still I am an introvert, so it'll have to be on my terms.
As for things on here... I've been stalking various people's galleries and adding stuff to my favourites, but I've not felt very motivated to do much in the way of artwork (besides CWHR stuff over on Chicken Smoothie) and I've not done any creative writing since February 2018. I'm hoping to change that at some point, since 1) it's great therapy, especially since work can be incredibly stressful at times, and 2) I just love being creative full-stop.
I have a couple of ideas for art projects going forward:
- I had already started work on it ages ago and kinda got sidetracked, but I'm supposed to be making and animated avatar for myself at some point. It's going to be a simple 9-frame loop of Egrala in-flight and I'm currently on frame 7! However I've never animated before, so even the simplest things (like selecting the correct frame delay speed) are proving quite the challenge. Even so, I'm pretty darn excited about it!
- The second project is another art one again, but this time something very dear to me. Cotton is now 13 years old and Ivy turned 7 years old just this week, and whilst both of them seem Ok health-wise (bar Ivy now missing a tail, my poor bun-bun
) it's getting to the point where I'm starting to prepare myself for the day all loving pet owners dread. As a result I've found myself thinking back to all the other pets I've had in my life, and I've decided that I'd like to have a go at drawing them all as a way to remember all the good times we shared. Each one might be accompanied by a short writing piece about what I can remember about each one. As said before, this would be an extremely personal project for me, but I want to do it. And I hope that in doing this and sharing it publicly, it could potentially help create a discussion about the loss of our pets and help people who may be going through a similar situation to cope. At least I'd hope I could do some good through it! 
Going further a field, I'm kinda tempted to start an ask blog on Tumblr- are these still a thing? I've never had a Tumblr account before (for various reasons), but I feel like getting prompts to write/draw from the community might be a push for me to start getting the creative juices flowing. I have a few ideas, so if you think it's something worth doing let me know!
That's about it really. Because I've let what little skill I had go to waste I won't be taking on any commissions until I'm satisfied that I can do a good job. Apart from that I hope everyone has a great 2019 and hopefully I'll be posting something to this dusty old account sometime soon!

Question for Le Watchers
Do you want me to continue writing fanfics (most notably Hetalia)? Lately I've been feeling... disconnected (for want of a better word) from writing them. Maybe it's just been a while since I had 'the fanfic bug', but I just don't know if I feel motivated enough to continue them without knowing if people want to see them. If people want me to continue writing them though I will do so. It'll just take more time, that's all. If people want me to write fanfics for other fandoms I will have a go at that too. I've already written one for Warriors without reading up to that point in the books, so I've practiced! <3
I don't want to spam people with fanfictions they don't want to see. If you guys want to see more of something else I've already done or want to see me try something new let me know.
And I promise the 100 watchers thingy will happen. At some point. Watch this space.

First of all Happy New Year! I do hope that everybody's 2016s have started off well, despite the fact that I know a lot of you might have January exams (I feel your pain guys, but I know you'll be great!
) Hopefully the New Year will be a good one, eh?Now I know a lot of my newest followers, as well as the patient souls who have been with me since I started, have been waiting for me to release something. Sadly I must inform you that I haven't completed any of my fanfiction requests as of yet, though I am delighted to tell you that the second part to 'Stranded In... Paradise?' is well underway! I'm about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way through, though I might add more or subtract some details to the existing sections to tidy it up a bit. Hopefully I'll find some time to polish it all up sometime!
In fact, here is a list of my projects, including a BRIEF synopsis to each:
- 'Stranded In... Paradise? II': you awake to find yourself in the hands of the infamous Allied Forces, your Axis comrades nowhere to be found. What has happened? Will you be able to escape and find your friends? Or is it too late for you and your friends???
- 'Once Upon A December' (Russia x Reader): you aren't really a fan of parties, so when your friends take you along to a ball you are naturally apprehensive. However when a mysterious Russian stranger invites you onto the floor to dance you find yourself unable to decline his offer... *dundundun*
- 'Why Can't You See?' (Fem!Romano x Male!Reader) ((NB- this is NOT a Nyotalia fanfiction)): your girlfriend has always been very insecure about her value and is always comparing herself to her younger sister. She needs someone to help open her eyes to her self-worth... Will that be you???
- 'Embraceable You' (America x Reader): it's the year 1942 and American troops are arriving in the UK before heading off to mainland Europe for the war. Your friends have escorted (more like dragged) you into one of the local dance halls to 'try your luck' with one of these exotic men in uniform. You'd leave, except one man catches your eye and he seems to return the attraction. Could this be the start of a new romance or is it a one night stand???
I do hope I can get around to writing all of them, but it probably won't happen until sometime around June/July, when I finish my degree and graduate from University (then Immy has to become a proper adult and look for more work experience or a job- VERY SCARY STUFF!!!).
For those of you who don't know I also have a tablet now! I still need to work a lot harder to adapt to it and the tools I can use to touch things up, so expected to see more of my 'tablet tests' appearing here too. I also hope that I'll post some more Digital (mouse) and Traditional (pencil) art once I have some more free time too. But as with the writing, this may also have to wait until I've finished my degree, but hopefully I'll find some spare time between revision, coursework and my dissertation.

What is your favourite type of art to create?
That's a really tough question... I'd probably say traditional art, simply because I grew up with the art form and I still get a kick from leaving the house and just drawing something. Though I do also love digital art and creative writing (including fanfiction.)If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?

Traditional: I'm definitely a pencil-art lady. I don't tend to agree with paints so much, and I love the feel and freedom I feel using pencil (or even pen) against paper- truly liberating. :3
Digital: my laptop for sure. I am also a mouse-artist, using my built-in laptop mouse. Hopefully I be able to purchase the elusive tablet someday! XD
Writing: just some inspiration, my brain and something to write with. :3What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Drawn artwork: definitely the world around me. From the animals I care for and study to the British landscape surrounding the places I have lived and grown to love, nature has really tapped into my soul.
Literature: Fandoms for fanfiction, most certainly. As for creative writing and everything else... Again probably the natural world around me. Plus my dad is big on poetry, so that's probably why I go on for hours when describing things! XDWhat is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Oh goodness... Probably (and selfishly) the first ever favourite any of my deviations ever received? I don't remember which piece of who did it, but I will never forget the happiness I felt when somebody I had never met before had actively acknowledged my artwork! ^u^ <3
